Serenity Plus Built-in Two-person Bath

The Serenity Plus two-person bath is a larger sized version of the very popular Serenity built-in bath. Like its smaller counterpart, it can be inset or under-mounted and it places exactly the same emphasis on bathing comfort.

The chief difference is its larger size, which allows for side-by-side bathing, or shared bathing with the users at either end. The Serenity Plus is available in two sizes: 1700 x 1000mm, or 1800 x 1200mm. Both models have an internal depth of 480mm.

Description

The Serenity Plus Two-person Bath

The Serenity Plus two-person bath is available in two standard sizes but may also be customised. It can be supplied with minor modifications to the external dimensions for a small additional cost. This will vary according to the specific modifications required. For more details, please contact us.

Please note that where a smaller size is required, four sizes of the standard Serenity are available.

In the photographs above, the Serenity Plus is shown fitted with combined filler/overflows, which remove the need for a spout. Note that the rear rim of the bath is wider than the others so as to incorporate taps, fillers and any added features such as Hydrotherapy controls.

Placement:

Though usually chosen for built-in use, the Serenity Plus can be fitted with bespoke side panels – allowing it to be used in a niche, a corner, against a wall or even free standing. (A charge is payable for bespoke panels.) See ‘options’ for further details.

Access and fitting:

Both versions of the Serenity Plus two-person bath can be turned on their side and will pass through a standard door. This assumes a standard width of approximately 750mm / 29½″.

If the bath is inset, taps spouts and other controls are most usually fitted on the rear rim, which is deliberately made larger than the other rims to accommodate them. However, taps and controls can also be installed in the surrounding deck or on an adjacent wall, if available. Fittings should not be placed at the ends of the bath, because this would be uncomfortable for the seated bather(s).

The Serenity Plus is normally delivered with holes pre-cut for the waste and overflow only. Holes are not usually pre-cut for taps and other fittings. Experience has shown that the best way to decide on the placement of these items is to wait for the bath to be set in situ. Only when the customer has had the chance to see it in position, in the context of the rest of the room, should he or she decide on the finished location of taps etc. The installer can then be briefed accordingly.

The Serenity Plus stands on four screw-threaded feet, which allow a height adjustment of 50mm (2″). Their total height ranges from 90mm (3½″) to 140mm (5½″). These adjustable feet are factory-fitted and set to spread the bath’s weight evenly. During installation on-site, great care must be taken if the feet are subsequently adjusted to accommodate a sloping or uneven floor. For security, stability and durability, it is essential that the whole of the bath’s weight rests squarely and evenly on the feet. No weight at all should rest on the rim or body of the bath, nor (where present) on any side panel.

Material: FICORE®

Panels:

Although the Serenity Plus is commonly purchased as a built-in bath, customers sometimes wish to use it as a free standing bath, positioned in a niche, in a corner or against a wall. In such cases, Cabuchon can ensure an attractive finish by providing a custom built panel to cover one, two or three sides. We can even supply a panel to cover four sides so as to allow the bath to be made truly free standing. The panel will be supplied separately, for installation on site and, regardless of how many sides are to be covered, it will be supplied as a single, one-piece unit for stability and security.

For more details about panel configurations, please see Panels for Rectangular Built-in Baths.

Bath panels are made using the same FICORE® composite as the bath itself. However, customers can choose to have the bath and the associated panel in contrasting colours if they wish.

If you require bespoke bath panels, please ask for a quotation.

Colour choice:

The Serenity Plus can be produced in literally any colour. This is useful when, for example, matching the colour of other sanitaryware or of the room’s decor. For a small extra fee, the colour can be matched to the base colour of stone, ceramic, textile or paint.

Hydrotherapy:

The Serenity Plus is well suited for use with a Hydrotherapy system.

“Cabuchon were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in answering our many questions, and the flexibility with the design was surprising. We were able to specify precisely where our clients wanted the jets – to target back-pain concerns – and the sampling, orders, installation and after-care advice were swift and professional.”
