Deep Soaking Tub, Penrith, England
Product: Imersa Deep Soaking Tub
Client: Ms S. L.
In 2018, Ms S.L. decided to renovate her bathroom and began looking for a comfortable soaking tub to replace her old bath. She was attracted to the Imersa deep soaking tub, but she had a number of special requirements.
- It had to fit through a narrow doorway in her old cottage.
- The bath’s colour would have to match other sanitaryware.
- It must be supplied with a bespoke side panel in a special colour to match her existing bathroom tiles.
Cabuchon staff made detailed notes of her requirements, including the access restrictions associated with the narrow door. Some careful calculations satisfied the team that the Imersa could be made to fit through the door if it were made with some modifications to the foot arrangement.
The team also worked with a sample of the ceramic tiles and used computer colour matching to ensure the side panel would precisely match it. The panel – covering the bath’s front and two ends – would be made in a pale green with a high gloss finish.
Within its standard pricing, Cabuchon can match the standard colours of most major sanitaryware producers. The team was therefore able to produce the Imersa in a white that exactly matched the colour of Ms L’s accompanying bathroom basin.
The rest of the story is probably best left to Ms L herself.
