Project Description
Deep Soaking Tub, California USA
Product: Takara Deep Soaking Tub
Client: Ms B P
The Project:
The Takara, a Japanese-style deep soaking tub, ended a long-standing search by Ms BP of Northern California, USA. For a number of years, she had been seeking a stylish, comfortable bath that would be easy to enter and exit. However, she could find nothing suitable in the United States so, eventually, she decided to extend the search internationally.
Her research brought her to the website of Cabuchon Bathforms, which is based in Lancaster, UK. There, she found details of a number of high-quality compact baths, including the Takara. Several of the soaking tubs looked well-suited to her needs but discussions with Cabuchon’s customer services team helped her to narrow down her choices. With an exchange of phone calls, Hannah in Cabuchon’s support team was able to answer any questions that she raised. Accordingly, Ms BP chose the Takara, which was to be installed as a corner bath, undermounted beneath a marble surround.
Ms BP could have placed an order at that point. However, she had a UK visit scheduled, so she decided to postpone any decision and to amend her travel plans so as to include a visit to the Cabuchon showroom. In this way, she was able to meet Hannah in person and to see the bath for herself.
Most overseas clients tend to buy their chosen baths without having first visited the showroom. This saves them the time and costs associated with travel. Moreover, because Cabuchon will gladly supply detailed drawings and samples of the bath material (Ficore), customers can usually form a very accurate impression of the bath as it will ultimately be delivered to them.
In this case, however, since Ms BP was already travelling to Britain, the opportunity was too good to miss. As a result, she was able to see the Takara first hand and to gauge the comfort of the in-built seat and armrests. Importantly, she was also able to satisfy herself that stepping in and out of the bath would indeed be easy – processes that are greatly facilitated by the grab bars incorporated into the sides of the bath.
Ms BP was convinced, so she duly completed her order and awaited the bath’s delivery. This progressed smoothly and she subsequently wrote to the team to express her appreciation.
“In 2017, I started looking for a bathtub that I could easily enter and exit. As I could not find any in the United States in a style that would work in my bathroom, I expanded my search. And there it was, Cabuchon’s Easy Access Takara Deep Soaking Bath.
“In August 2022, I was traveling to the UK, so I added a stop in Lancaster to check out the tub. It was perfect! With Hannah’s guidance, the build and subsequent delivery of the bath was seamless.
“This is one very happy customer in Northern California. Thank you Cabuchon!”
