Deep Soaking Bath, Macclesfield, England
Product: Imersa Deep Soaking Tub
Client: Mr & Mrs H.
In 2014, Mr and Mrs H. were planning a bathroom renovation project. They had already selected and purchased the other sanitaryware but they still required a bath and decided that a deep soaking tub would best meet their personal and design requirements. Having looked at what the market had to offer, the couple decided upon the Imersa traditional deep soaking tub from Cabuchon Bathforms.
Mrs H therefore wrote to Cabuchon to ask, firstly, if it would be possible to supply the bath in a colour that would exactly match the sanitaryware. The customer support team confirmed that this was possible and that such colour matching could be performed at no extra charge.
A second important consideration was access. Although the Imersa will fit through a standard door without the need for any modifications, Mr and Mrs H were conscious that the unusual configuration of their house – and more specifically, the stairs – might present a challenge for the installers. Cabuchon talked through the details of the access route and took note of all measurements and agreed to find a workable solution.
The company discovered that the bath itself would pass relatively easily through the house, and that only the feet needed to be changed. Normally, the Imersa is supplied with four height-adjustable feet that thread into the bath frame but in this case, some small adjustments would be required.
The resulting design was agreed, manufactured and delivered to the client, whose installers then had no difficulty in fitting the Imersa in situ.
