Project Description
Deep Soaking Tub, Trafford, UK
Product: Nirvana Japanese Soaking Tub
Client: Mr & Mrs P
The Project:
In 2023, Mr & Mrs P began researching the market for a deep soaking tub for their home in Trafford, Greater Manchester. Mrs P had joint problems and always enjoyed bathing, but their existing bath was too large, which made it both uncomfortable and wasteful in terms of water and heating energy.
Through an online search, Mr P found the Cabuchon website, where the couple examined a variety of options. Several of the soaking tubs looked to be of interest and, accordingly, they made an enquiry and soon began a dialogue with our customer services team.
Their home in the town of Sale was not far from the Cabuchon showroom in Lancashire, so Mr and Mrs P decided to pay a visit. There, they were able to sit in a range of different deep soaking tubs and decided, ultimately, that the Nirvana would be ideal for them. Its internal seat, armrests and footrests would make for a very comfortable experience, as would the opportunity to sit, buoyed up by the deep water.
As a result of its compact dimensions, the soaking tub would also take much less water to fill and, thanks to Cabuchon’s proprietary material Ficore, it would retain heat much better.
“Jane was never happy with the existing bath; it was so big that she was frightened she’d accidentally drown in it. She loves a bath as she has joint problems and one day wistfully said she wished we could have a Japanese soaking tub. A what, I asked? A little internet work and I discovered Cabuchon. A phone call later and we were off to Morecambe to the showroom where we met the lovely Hannah and we got to try out the different tubs.
“We were really taken by the Nirvana tub, and placed our order. It is the first bath I have ever been comfortable enough to fall asleep in, and Jane is absolutely delighted as she can soak in a deep tub of water up to her shoulders, and the heat retention is absolutely fabulous.”
